SwingShift and the Stars puts the FUN back in fundraising through this exciting event that puts a local spin on Dancing with the Stars and Lip Sync Battle. Enjoy live music, performances, dancing, fundraising, good-natured competition, and a good time! Come join Christ’s Hope International at this event on September 21st or November 16th (or both) to help us raise our SwingShift and the Stars goal of $100,000 to help care for more AIDS affected orphans and vulnerable children!

This event is held at City Opera House, located at 106 East Front Street, Traverse City, MI 49684.
September’s event is not black tie, however we suggest semi-formal attire. Sparkles, flirty skirts, bowties, suspenders and generally fun date night wardrobe choices are encouraged!
November is themed “Country / Classic Rock” night – so darn your hats, boots and maybe even a bit of leather!
As a ticket holder, when you enter the building you will be handed ONE VOTING ENVELOPE. You can then vote for your favorite performance *cough* Saburi Boyer’s *cough* for a minimum donation of $10. However, you are encouraged to donate as much as you would like, $10 is just a starting point! Donations can be designated to the nonprofit of your choice *cough* Christ’s Hope *cough*. Ticket holders may vote one time regardless of donation amount and must be present at the event. Donations are always accepted online at christshope.ca/swingshift.
Ticket prices do not include food or drink. A cash bar is available at every event. Outside food or drink is not permitted. So eat before you come!
ABSOLUTELY! At the end of the evening, the team that earns the highest judges score at each event will be presented with an Alumni Award bonus check to present to their nonprofit. The couple with the most audience votes will win an Audience Choice Award check.
This event is family friendly, but definitely adult-oriented. Children must have a ticket and be accompanied by an adult at all times.
100% of the funds donated through the SwingShift and the Stars platform (during and between the events) go directly to Christ’s Hope International.
Doors open at 6:30pm. As people are coming in, an audience dance lesson will begin at 6:45pm for those interested in participating! At 7:15, the band takes the stage and the main event commences. We will watch the participating nonprofits’ Impact Videos (including Christ’s Hope’s) followed by each nonprofit’s star performing a dance or lip sync number! Voting and donations will be finalized near the end of the evening with the winners being announced prior to the conclusion of the event. Be sure to vote for our star, Saburi!
